Upward Dog Rescue was founded in 2012 and is based in Carlsbad, CA.
Our mission is to create a better world for dogs in Southern California. To do this, we will save adoptable dogs that would be destroyed soley due to overcrowding, and provide them loving foster homes until forever families can be found. We will provide all interim veterinary care, and spay or neuter all of our rescued dogs. We will also strive to educate the public on the unfortunate realities of pet overpopulation. This is our chance to help innocent animals and make a difference. Will you join us?

We adopted Wiggles from a shelter in 2006. Wiggles greets all of our fosters with a wagging tail and lets them know “Everything is going to be okay now.” He makes us laugh and smile every day and is a continual reminder that the best dogs come from shelters.
